PRAYER
HYMN #405
PRAYER OF
CONFESSION (In unison)
Loving Jesus, strong
Shepherd, your love for us reaches from the cradle to the grave. There is no
place or time or situation in which we are cut off from your care.
Remind us of that
love whenever we doubt our own worth, forget our blessing in baptism, loose our
self-control or act out of fear or anger. Forgive us for finding life boring or
predictable, filled with routine and sameness when you have placed us in a
garden. Turn our world upside down
occasionally and surprise us with grace and joy. Keep us forever amazed at your
love. You restore our souls and lead us
to the house of love. Amen.

Offer your input to our current Vision Question; Leading persons to commit their lives to God is the third action point in our mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
How do you think we can accomplish that in today’s
world?
An elderly client who has had

Our Chancel Flowers this morning are presented in loving memory of Bill
Benninger from Margaret and family.
Chancel Flowers are also
presented in celebration of the birthday of Dan Kinney from Laurie, Grant and
Brandon.
Flowers are presented in
celebration of the Baptism of Susan Kaye Huckle by Jill Steele and Audrey
Lofgren.
We welcome to the church
family through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism: Susan Kaye Huckle, daughter of
Chris and Katy Huckle, sister of Tommy and grand daughter of Tom and Kaye
Huckle and George and Susan Lee.
Our Ministry of Music at both worship services this morning is being
offered by the “Men’s Chorus.” Their songs are dedicated to the following
men who were a very important part of the Methodist Men group over the years
and who thoroughly enjoyed participating with them: Manley Hahn, Henry Kidder,
Dick Martin, Mel Parker, Arden Peterson, Frank Vivian, and Louie Ward. +
The School Supply Pantry opened last Wednesday. Fourteen children were
given new school supplies. For the past
few years, our church has provided backpacks and a variety of school supplies
for families who cannot afford them. Although our church budget helps with the
cost of this mission, we also depend on the generous contributions of
members. This year, we are especially in need of new, sturdy backpacks for
children of all ages. We can also
use lined paper, drawing pads, construction paper, scissors, pens, crayons,
watercolor markers, colored pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, rulers,
dictionaries, and scientific calculators.
We have been helping approximately 100 children each year, so our needs
are substantial. Please leave any
donations in the school supply box near the sanctuary or bring them to the
office.
The School Supply Pantry
also gives out books for children. If
you can provide recently published, new or used books for children of preschool
age through adolescence, please leave these donations in the school supply box
as well. If you have any questions about
this mission or if you would like to help with the distribution of the school
supplies, contact Barb Tatarchuk.
