United Methodist Men to Meet

 

Find out all you didn’t know about “Reverse Mortgages” on Thursday, January 24.  We will meet for our typically great Potluck at 6:00 p.m. in the Corbin room.  Following our usually short business meeting, Dorothy Dean will present us with the facts on this little known topic.  Bring along someone who might be interested in planning their future and join us on January 24th.

Grand Sweep to Begin January 28, 2002

 

More than forty participants have, to date, signed up for the Grand Sweep Bible Study.  Three sessions of the class will be held each week.  The schedule is as follows:

 

Group #1  -  Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m. (Time is flexible)

Group # 2 -  Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. (Time is

Groups # 3 -  Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.

 

 

 

The ACTS OF KINDNESS TREE is in the Fellowship Hall.  A reminder to take a heart and write on it (no names included) an act of graciousness that you have seen or experienced.  Take a look at the tree often to see the various “kindnesses” listed.

 

 

 

BUDGET HELPERS are still needed for the Love INC Loving Help Budget Program.  You can receive “tried and true” budgeting forms and material as well as ongoing help and support.  Call Jackie Soltman, Budget Program Coordinator at 876-3104 or 775-3977 for more information.

 

 

 

The BELL CHOIR is changing their rehearsal day to Tuesdays from 6:30 - 7:30 pm.  We are in need of more ringers and have at least 3 spots open!  Come along and give it a try!!

 

 

 

The Senior High Youth group announces that their ANNUAL GOURMET DINNER will be on Saturday, February 23 at 6:00 p.m.  The theme this year will be the 50's.  More details will follow.

Our Chancel Flowers this morning are presented in celebration of the 55th wedding anniversary of Ken and Bernadean Gregg from their family.

 

 

There will be a Church Sledding Party this afternoon, weather permitting, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the church.  Bring your own sleds.  Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided. 

 

                                                                          

Got lots of cans / bottles on hand???  The Junior Disciples and some of the band youth would love to have  them.  They will be collecting them on Saturday, February 2 from 10:00 till Noon.  Or, if you would like them picked up sooner rather than later, please call the church at 775-5362 and we will make arrangements to get them.  Thanks!!
