PRAYER HYMN #2056
“God is So Good”
If you have a prayer joy or concern, you are invited
to fill out a prayer card and hand it to the usher at this time.
UNISON PRAYER
Why is it, O God, that the
hand holds on when the heart wants to let go? We struggle with trusting in your
goodness, but the times are hard, and though our heart is generous, our hand
closes tight. Teach us again the joy of
giving and sharing your goodness, whether from our little or our much. Let our
heart and hand be connected and abide in the confidence of your provident care
for You are our Source of Life and the Giver of Gifts. Amen.

Today!
Your Vision Team thanks all of you that have provided information to us through the Vision Board. Today, our Vision Family invites you to review the input that has been provided up to now by the congregation and also by our committee members in their work sessions. The questions and the input are posted on today’s Vision Board. We have three more questions including our new question today. Thank you for your continuing input. Leading persons to commit their lives to God is the third action point in our mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
How do you think we can accomplish that in today’s world?
The School Supply Pantry will open its doors again on Wednesday, August
7. For the past few years, our church
has provided backpacks and a variety of school supplies for families who cannot
afford them. Although our church budget helps with the cost of this mission, we
also depend on the generous contributions of members. This year, we are especially in need of new,
sturdy backpacks for children of all ages.
We can also use lined paper, drawing pads, construction paper, scissors,
pens, crayons, watercolor markers, colored pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners,
rulers, dictionaries, and scientific calculators. We have been helping approximately 100
children each year, so our needs are substantial. Please leave any donations in the school
supply box near the sanctuary or bring them to the office.
The School Supply Pantry
also gives out books for children. If
you can provide recently published, new or used books for children of preschool
age through adolescence, please leave these donations in the school supply box
as well. If you have any questions about
this mission or if you would like to help with the distribution of the school
supplies, contact Barb Tatarchuk.
Needed:
several yokes to be used in a worship setting on Sunday, August 4. See Judy or call her at 775-5362 if you have
one that could be used. Thanks!!
