UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Merciful God, we confess we have been
jealous and competitive workers in your vineyard, far more concerned with
personal reward than with accomplishing the tasks you set before us. We forget your generosity to us and resent
what others receive. Rather than
standing side by side for the faith of the gospel, we pursue our separate goals
and turn away from true partnership. We
even try to create our own little gods.
Forgive us, O God, turn us from our grumbling and restore us to fruitful
labor and joy in the faith. In Christ’s
name, we pray. Amen.

*PRAYER OF DEDICATION (In Unison)
O God, you give us tasks to
perform. You equip us with strengths and
abilities beyond what we deserve. In
Christ you call us to faithfulness, to exercise obedience, to be deliberate in
our discipline. We come now offering to
you the results of our labors. Use them
as a means to further your work in Christ’s name. Amen.

Home for Rent. I’m off to China for 11 months and want to rent my
furnished home–3 bedrooms, bath, living room, kitchen/dining room, office,
basement, garage and 3½ country acres.
Please call Shelly Wahr at Exit Realty 775-4100 or Jo Brown. Thanks.
The children’s “Teddies and
Toys” booth at the Bazaar is looking for more books, toys and puzzles. So as you are cleaning out the toy box
remember us. They need to be in good, clean
condition for resale. Items may be
brought to the church anytime.

Christian Living is the fourth action point of our proposed Mission Statement.
Our Vision Wall question for this month is in two
parts.
How are we doing today? Where can we improve?
Check the Vision Wall this

far and be sure to answer this month’s questions using the white answer cards

Calling All
Men (Again)
A reminder that
our church will be hosting a “Men’s Gathering” on Thursday, September 26, from
7-9 pm. The highlight of this gathering
will be the showing of the Tony Campolo Video, “What Kind of Men Does Wesley
Expect?” We’ve invited men from 40 area
churches to join our men for an evening of fellowship, singing, and this
inspiring and humorous video. We hope
to have a good number of men from our church present for this special
event. We hope you will join us.
Calling All Secret Saints:
We still need a few Secret Saints, if you are willing to help please
call Barb Tatarchuk. This is a fun and
meaningful project for both the “Saint” and the student.
