             *CALL TO WORSHIP

One:     Loving God, place me in a circle of joy,

All:      Where laughter bubbles like a flowing stream

One:     And gladness dances like wind in the trees.

All:      Place me in a community of joy,

One:     Where children laugh and tears are kissed away

All:      And the vitality is still in everyone's faith.

One:     Place me in a church of joy,

All:      Where God's surprises are expected and cherished

One:     And people know how to sing praise,

even in the midst of worry and difficulty.

All:      Let the joy be sung!

SILENT REFLECTION

UNISON PRAYER

O God, apart from you we can do nothing; with you all things are already accomplished.  We are only the branches, but abiding in the vine we bear good fruit.  Abiding in one another, we abide in Christ; abiding in Christ, we abide in you.  O Tender of the Vine and Keeper of Life, abide with us.  Let your joy be found in us, that our joy may be found in one another.  Amen.
