TO WORSHIP
Leader: This
is a place of encounter, a meeting between the ordinary and the most Holy.
People: Here
burns the sacred fire, the sign of a mysterious presence.
Leader: Here
the weary find rest and the troubled discover ease.
People: Here
our spirits are kindled afresh and our feet set on the right road.
Leader: Here
in this place, a call is given and a mission is received.
People: Send
us, O God, to do your work, to bind up the wounds, to free the oppressed, to

SILENT REFLECTION
If you have a prayer joy or concern, you are invited
to fill out a prayer card and hand it to the usher at this time.
UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION
God of compassion, you know how we rebel against
you. You know how we doubt and fear and
hold back, when you call us to freedom and to partnership in Jesus Christ. God, forgive us. Free us by the power of your cross, that we
may serve you without fear. Grant us
your peace, through Jesus Christ who was faithful to the end. Amen.

By your surprising grace, O God, our eyes are
opened, our ears unstopped, our hearts attuned to the needs of others. We give so more people may know your
acceptance and forgiveness. We support
the ministry of preaching, teaching, and healing among us and through the
outreach of the church. Expand our
horizons, we pray, and tear down the limits of our caring. Amen.
