Easter Sunday    The Resurrection of our Lord

March 31, 2002

“On the first day of the week, at early dawn, the women came to the tomb, taking the spices that they had prepared.

They found the stone rolled away from the tomb . . .”

Prepared for mourning, they were called to joy instead.  May their witness give you hope.

Christ is risen!  Alleluia!  Alleluia!  Alleluia!

            Easter Offering

Our Easter Offering for today is for Children.  The children of Cadillac, of Michigan, and of the world.  We will benefit the School Supply Pantry and Books For Kids programs here in Cadillac, the Methodist Children’s Home Society and Children’s Village for homeless, abused, and neglected kids in Michigan and Bishop Judith Craig’s Children’s Home in Liberia, Africa.  In Africa children are simply left at the roadside to die when parents are killed by war.  This home takes them in for a chance at life.

First Sunday Donations

Next week, our First Sunday offering of non-perishable food and paper products will be given to the OASIS Shelter.  Thank you for your continued generosity.
