The Church and Society Committee is hosting a
program on November 3 at 7:30 pm by
Diane Dykstra of the United Way.
Her topic will be the CANA Survey.
The results of this survey target the needs of the area residents and
also the assets our community provides.
This survey would be a great tool for committees in our church to use in
planning outreach programs. The
presentation will last about one hour.
Everyone is welcome.

The Annual Church Conference of the United
Methodist Church of Cadillac will be on Tuesday, November 11 at 7:00 pm Our District Superintendent, Rev. Lynn
Pier-Fitzgerald, will preside at the meeting and lead us in a time of Worship
and Holy Communion.
The Staff-Parish Relations Committee, along with
Membership and Missions reports will be given.
Also, our leadership slate will be voted on for 2004. The Staff-Parish Relations Committee will
meet with the District Superintendent at 6:00 p.m. prior to the conference
which begins at 7:00 p.m..
Because Church Conference will be held on the
monthly meeting night of the Administrative Council, there will be no full
meeting of the Administrative Council this month. However, a few important items of Administrative
Council business will be cared for briefly at the close of the Church
Conference. The Finance Committee’s
proposed budget for 2004 will be distributed to Council members at that time.
The Junior Disciples have your Sub Orders

Ministry: Today we have the opportunity to
pray for Hattie Coffell and Gerald Linn.
You are invited to come, tie a knot and offer a prayer for Hattie and
Gerry. This is an important ministry in
our congregation as we minister to each other through prayer. Come and share.
We welcome Marilynn Ham, musician, recording
artist and arranger, to our 11:00
worship service today. Marilynn will be
offering several selections during worship.
Blessings, Marilynn!
v Pray that every person involved in
40 Days of Purpose will be refreshed, renewed and revitalized for the
ministry to which God has called them and discover and use their spiritual
gifts and abilities for God’s eternal purposes
v Pray for each person to have a
servant’s heart and serve wherever needed.
“…but serve the Lord
with all your heart.” 1 Samuel 12:20b (niv)
Equal Exchange Coffee will be available on Sunday,
December 7.
Stock up then for the Holiday Season.
Our church Website has a new look – take a peek at www.umccadillac.org. Our
Webmaster, Dan Kinney, has updated the site.
Lots of good information and many links.
You can even get your own e-mail address off the site. The Sunday bulletin is posted. There is the online Cokesbury bookstore and
CBD bookstore - check it out!!
The Prayer Tree for those serving in the military continues in
the narthex for you to place a heart on with the name and service of a member
of the armed forces that you would like remembered in prayer during these
precarious days. We invite you to
remember these military personnel in prayer.
Please note the church has hearing assistance devices for use
during worship. These can be used by
persons with or without hearing aids.
Also available are LARGE PRINT HYMNALS and LARGE PRINT BULLETINS.
We still have several people who would benefit from having a “Special
Friend.” This would be someone who
would call and visit on a regular basis and generally take a special interest
in one of our older members who is maybe a shut-in or has difficulty getting
out and about. If you would like to help
with this program or need more information contact Parish Nurse Donna
Freeland.
