UNISON PRAYER

Living God, we come as your children to be reclaimed and blessed.  We need the inner strength that comes to us through worship.  All week long we have wrestled with emptiness.  Take away the noisy clamor that would distract us from hearing your still small voice of love and direction.  Turn us toward the source of our salvation, toward you steadfast love and faithfulness.  Amen.

Worship Notes:  We are very grateful to our Vocal Ensemble who are sharing their musical talents at the 8:30 worship this morning and to our musicians who are accompanying the Chancel Choir:  Matt Stump, Tyler DeCoeur, Dan DeCoeur and Ron Kendzierski.

The “Learning to Use My Bible” class begins this morning for all interested Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade students.  This class will meet on the second and fourth Sunday of each month during the 11:00 service.  Look for Mrs. Silvers’ BIG sign in the Education Wing.  Fun awaits!

40 Days of Purpose Prayer Focus:  Week 2 of the Campaign

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.    Mark 1:35 (niv)Pray that the men, women, youth and children of our church will more completely understand that they were created for God’s pleasure. Specifically ask that they will have a joyful heart of worship and become best friends with the Lord.

Our church Website has a new look – take a peek at www.umccadillac.org.  Our Webmaster, Dan Kinney, has updated the site.  Lots of good information and many links.  You can even get your own e-mail address off the site.  The Sunday bulletin is posted.  There is the online Cokesbury bookstore and CBD bookstore - check it out!!

The Prayer Tree for those serving in the military continues in the narthex for you to place a heart on with the name and service of a member of the armed forces that you would like remembered in prayer during these precarious days.  We invite you to remember these military personnel in prayer.

Please note the church has hearing assistance devices for use during worship.  These can be used by persons with or without hearing aids.  Also available are LARGE PRINT HYMNALS and LARGE PRINT BULLETINS.

We still have several people who would benefit from having a “Special Friend.”  This would be someone who would call and visit on a regular basis and generally take a special interest in one of our older members who is maybe a shut-in or has difficulty getting out and about.  If you would like to help with this program or need more information contact Parish Nurse Donna Freeland.

Your help is needed: The Seventh Day Adventist Community Center is in need of good quality children’s clothing and sturdy footwear.  Children’s and teen jeans are greatly needed.  If you and your family can share, please drop off your donations at the Center on East Division on Tuesdays from 9:00 to 1:00 p.m..  Love, INC refers many clients to this ministry since they give clothing to those in need at no charge.

Often when the church has a funeral luncheon or other function, we are left with many extra serving dishes and pans.  If some of yours are missing, please check in the kitchen.
