WELCOME AND PARISH NOTES
*CALL TO WORSHIP
One: We
gather in this holy place:
All: Hoping
a song touches our hearts,
One: Looking
for strength to endure,
All: Willing
a prayer to reach heaven,
One: Longing
for peace to well up within,
All: Listening
for a word that comforts,
One: Waiting for
the children to explode with joy,
All: Desiring
an outpouring of God's Spirit.
One: We
gather together, in holy anticipation,
All: And God
meets us here.

UNISON PRAYER
OF CONFESSION AND WORDS OF PROMISE
Lord, we often fail to understand your call to us to
repentance of our sins so that we might have genuinely abundant life and not
commendation and destruction. Forgive
us, Lord, for all the times we have fallen so short of being the wonderful
blessings you have created us to be.
Help us, Lord, to remember that we are your children called to share
your good news. In Christ we pray. Amen.

Liturgical Dance is a form of worship and prayer. Our church has had a “dancer” now for several years. A variety of persons of different ages have been involved. If you are interested in learning more about this worship ministry or have a desire to participate, please feel free to contact the Church Office (775-5362) or Jackie Soltman, Laurie Kinney, or Clara Handy, A plan for this coming year due to busy schedules is to have several small groups dancing throughout the year. Please give this ministry some prayerful consideration. If you have a young child who wants to be involved, make that call for them. Thank you!
Our
church Website has a new look – take a peek at www.umccadillac.org. Our Webmaster, Dan Kinney, has updated the
site. Lots of good information and many
links. You can even get your own e-mail
address off the site. The Sunday

Godstock 2003 The Marion United Methodist Church is hosting an area-wide youth outreach concert called Godstock 2003. The concert features the band “Daniel’s Window” and guest speaker Terry Prisk, a well known speaker/minister. This event is being held on August 23, rain or shine, at the Marion Fairgrounds. Admission is $5.00. The grounds will be open at 4:00 pm and the concert will begin at 6:00 pm.
The concert sponsors are hoping to have at least 1,000 area youth participate in this event. The goal will be to encourage our youth to seek God when making decisions as well as to provide a fun experience for them. If you would like to attend this concert, please let your youth group leaders know. Rides can be arranged for those who are interested.
