UNISON PRAYER
Loving God, keep our minds and hearts directed toward
you. We would center upon your love and
grace, which stagger our minds and prompt our greatest appreciation. May our worship be true and real, that when
we leave this place, we may have some of your goodness within us so that we
might share your love with those we encounter each day. In the name of Christ our Lord, we pray. Amen.

Our hearts overflow with thanksgiving for all the
bounty you entrust to our stewardship, O God of light. You have reached into the shadows, where we
often flee, to rescue us and give us your work to do. As you have freed us from the chains of sin,
we seek to offer healing to others as we listen and share and do. Bless our offering of self and substance, we
pray. Amen.

family.
Calling
all Secret Saints
Every year, members of our congregation are given the
opportunity to become Secret Saints for our college students who are living
away from home. The job of the Secret Saint is to maintain some contact with
the student during the course of the school year. Secret Saints often send cards, cookies,
postcards or other items on a monthly basis.
September 14 will be the official sign-up day for Secret Saints. A table will be set up in fellowship hall
after both services for those individuals who are interested in
"sainthood." If you do not
plan to be in church on that Sunday or if you would simply like to sign up
early, you may call Barb Tatarchuk.
Parents of College Students
If you are the parent of a college student who is
living away from home this year, you should be receiving a call asking for
up-to-date addresses and information about your son or daughter. If you do not receive a call from anyone on
the Higher Education Committee, please drop off the information about your
son(s) or daughter(s) in the church office or call Barb Tatarchuk.
For your home and hospital visits, telephone calls,
beautiful cards and flowers, prayers and good wishes, many, many thanks. Your support has been a blessing to me and my
recovery has been aided by your loving care.
God Bless You All, Ruth Peterson
This Week’s Prayer Focus: GOD’S PRESENCE
Pray that the Holy Spirit will confirm in each life
that the Spirit is present and has called each person to participate during the
40 Days of Purpose Campaign.
Pray that
those who are discouraged would be encouraged by a new understanding of their
life purposes.
Pray for those
who are emotionally, physically, and spiritually weary, to experience renewed
strength and healing.
Pray that each
person in our church will be challenged to grow spiritually & experience God’s plan
for living the transformed life.
Looking
upon them, Jesus said, ‘With mortals it is impossible, but not with God; for
all things are possible with God.’ Mark 10:27
