UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION & WORDS OF PROMISE
Dear God, we withdraw from change because change interrupts what we are used to. We wince at the uncertain. We hold back, troubled about where we will gain enough energy for the journey. Remind us that our strength comes from you, O God, who offers life-giving water from a life-giving stream. Remind us that you have a vison of a new earth. Through Christ. Amen.

The United Methodist Women
Mother/Daughter Banquet is this Friday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m. The program by Mary Lewis is entitled “Ringing
In Spring”. Tickets are available
after both worship services and today is the last day to get them. All women are welcome. Adults are $6.50,
children between three and twelve are $3.00, children under 3 are free.
The theme is “Bells”. If you have a bell or bells that are special
to you, would you bring them to the church by the morning of the banquet on May
7. The Susannah Wesley Circle would like
to use them as part of the decorations. Enclose a note and sign your name so we
can make sure they are returned.
A committee has been formed to
keep our Peace Garden in front of the church beautiful. If you would like to share in this rewarding
task, contact Joan Irvine.
U.M.W. District Event Day Apart on May 4
at Crystal Valley
See or call Clara Handy if
interested.
Your grocery receipts from Carter’s Food Stores in
Cadillac or Lake City may still be turned in at the church to obtain funds used
for projects by the United Methodist Women.
A box for them is located in Fellowship Hall.
Volunteers will hold three Yard Sales again
this spring/summer to benefit the work of Love In the Name of Christ. Although the snow is still flying, many of
you are eager to start cleaning closets, basements and garages at the first
sign of spring. Please remember Love
INC, as your donations are needed to make this a success. Call the Love INC office at 779-1888 for drop
off or pick up information.
We so appreciate your generous donations of food
for a funeral luncheon or other functions, however, we find that there are many
extra serving dishes and pans left in the church kitchen. Please check in the kitchen for yours.
Our church Website has a new look – take a peek at www.umccadillac.org.
Our Webmaster, Dan Kinney, has updated the site. Lots of good information and many links. You can get your own e-mail address off the
site. The Sunday bulletin is posted.
Please note the church has hearing assistance
devices for use during worship. These
can be used by persons with or without hearing aids. Also available are LARGE PRINT HYMNALS
and LARGE PRINT BULLETINS.
A small prayer group meets on Wednesdays at
noon. If you feel God prompting you to
be a part of this ministry, please join us in the Education Wing. Depending upon interest, we hope to form
several groups. Please see Bedonna Davis
