THE GATHERING TO WORSHIP
PRELUDE
BRINGING IN THE LIGHT OF CHRIST
WELCOME AND PARISH NOTES
*CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: Awesome and wondrous God,
As the clouds reflect the morning
sun,
People: So may our lives reflect your glory.
Leader: As the leaves twirl and spin in a brisk breeze,
People: So may we dance in your blessings.
Leader: As the eagle catches a draft of air and soars,
People: So may we be lifted on the wings of prayer
and
our
spirits rise in the blessed assurance of your love

PEOPLE OF GOD PRAYING
If you have a prayer joy or concern
to be shared, please fill out a prayer
card and hand it to an usher during the Prayer Hymn.
PRAYER HYMN #454
“Open
My Eyes”
UNISON PRAYER
Eternal God, whose will for
humankind is that we live within your rule of love, call us out of our
preoccupation with riches to sense our common plight with all who suffer. Help us to identify with rich and poor alike
as your children, that through mutual care and compassion we might grow toward
your eternal realm. May we hear and heed
your life-changing warnings and promises.
Amen.

Praise God, from whom all blessing
flow;
Praise God, all creatures here
below: Alleluia! Alleluia!
Praise God, the source of all our
gifts!
Praise Jesus Christ, whose power
uplifts!
Praise the Spirit, Holy
Spirit! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Alleluia!
*PRAYER OF DEDICATION (in unison)Loving God, we hear your call to
take care of your sheep and to extend your love to all. Yet we find it
difficult to admit all that we have is yours and not ours to control. We
continue to believe that when we acquire a little more money or have more
things then we will have enough to share.
Open our hearts to knowing and believing that the time to begin giving
is today and everyday. Use these gifts to open the hearts of others so that
their time of believing in your unending love can begin anew. Amen.
