Please join us for Wesley Fellowship on Thursday, November 4.  There will be a Potluck Dinner at 6 p.m followed by our speaker, Patty Schneider, from the Health Department.  Hosts for the event are Jerry and Joyce Seward and Ron and Marilyn Truax.

November 7,  “Loose Plate” will go for the Tools of Hope which includes the Blanket Ministry. Like the Holy family two thousand years ago, more than 35 million people today need a safe place to lay their head. That is why helping to meet the need for shelter is a major part of the Church World Service Tools of Hope & Blanket Program.  From tents, blankets, and other emergency supplies for survivors of the earthquake that devastated Bam, Iran, to emergency food rations, blankets, candles and matches and plastic sheeting in the wake of monsoon flooding in parts of India, shelter needs come in all shapes and sizes. We can help these people with our “Loose Plate”  offering.  A warm blanket costs just $5 but can make a big difference between health and sickness.

Needing a Thanksgiving gift for a loved one??  Give a gift to the Tools of Hope and Blanket project.  We will provide a card for gift giving.  Cards will be available on the table in the Narthex.

Our gifts of staple food products and paper products will go to OASIS/Family Resource Center in November.

The JD’s are taking orders for Sub Sandwiches & Carmel Apples after worship today.  Orders may be picked up at the Bazaar or Sunday, November 7.  Proceeds will go to the group’s admission to the Rock Your World Junior High retreat at Center Lake Camp.

Please note:  Our church’s audiotape duplicating machine is being serviced for the next two weeks.  We regret that sermon tapes will not be available during this time.

Final reminder that the “Baby Bottle Boomerang” fund-raiser is complete.  Please turn in your bottles.  Thank you!

            Your Help is Needed!!

We need some help to tear down and reset the room following the Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 6.  This process will begin at 2:00 p.m.  Many hands (and strong backs) make light work.  If you can help, please sign below and drop this into the offering plate this morning.  Thank you so much!!

The flowers on the Lord’s Table are presented to the glory of God and in celebration of the birthdays of Robbie (18th), Harold (19th) Mary (20th) and Harold and Marvel’s 63rd Wedding Anniversary on November 22.  Harold celebrated his 90th Birthday November 19.

Our sincere thanks to Pastor Dale and the congregation for your prayers during Gordon’s health problems.  He appreciated Pastor’s visits, and Gordon is especially pleased with the prayer quilt.  He’s making good use of it as he recuperates at home from a serious infection.                                                                         With love, Gordon and Isabelle Cole

The church as a new phone system which makes it possible to leave voice mail messages for the staff.  If you call during the day and wish to leave a voice mail, just tell the secretary.  If you call after business hours, the message will direct you.

Interested in ringing??  Our Bell Choir, under the very capable leadership of director, Tonja Hinkston, is looking for another ringers or two.  Reading music is NOT essential.  Bell Choir practice is at 9:30 a.m. today in the choir room.   Come along and give it a try.
