*CALL TO WORSHIP
One: The sound of the trumpet still lingers,
All: The smell of lilies hovers in the air,
One: The candy is not quite gone,
All: It still is Easter.
One: Though the fanfare has died down,
All: It still is Easter.
One: In the ordinary and routine,
All: It still is Easter.
One: The pulse of hope,
All: The signs of new life,
One: The spirit of peace,
All: The uncontainable joy,
One: The urge to sing ‑
All: It still is Easter for Christ is risen!

UNISON PRAYER OF
CONFESSION AND WORDS OF PROMISE
O Source of Life:
we come to you in the midst of doubt, confessing to you, as we miss the mark of
faith. You come to us to bring peace but
we doubt your peace. You come to us with
your Holy Spirit but we doubt the presence of your Spirit. You come to us bringing the fullness of life
but we doubt the life you give. We
confess that we want proof positive. We
want to see and touch what only faith can bring about. Forgive us for our idolatry and our
disbelief. Help us to confess out doubts
and struggles to you and give us such faith that with Thomas we might look to
you and confess, “My Lord and my God!”
Amen.
