UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION AND WORDS OF PROMISE

Gracious God, we hear you calling.  You have shown us hope and you offer us courage to step out in faith.  We confess that we are afraid of the difficult experiences; we despair at challenges that are given to us.  The roads we walk find us weary sometimes and we let hopelessness get the best of us.  Care for us on our journey of faith, O God.   Help us to know that your love is always there, sustaining us and surrounding us with care.  Take our lives and transform us to be your new people of hope and faith.  Amen.

Note only one item per person please. The UMW will also be collecting any unused “orphaned” greeting cards you may have at home so please be sure to bring them with you.  Come join the fun and fellowship!

Our Loose Plate Offering today will go to Afghanistan Emergency -- a nation in crisis.  Twenty-four years of wars, ethnic conflict, repressive regimes, drought, famine and earthquakes have forced millions of people to seek refuge in neighboring countries.  UMCOR is focused on housing reconstruction, infrastructure rehabilitation and economic revitalization assistance and looking to begin medical assistance programs; we are receiving non-perishable food items and paper products.

The Education Committee is always looking for volunteers to help serve the children and youth in our church family.  Please take a minute to look over the bulletin insert page for a list of ways you can serve our children and youth.  Place your completed page in the offering plate and someone will contact you soon.  Thanks for helping!
