UNISON PRAYER OF
CONFESSION AND WORDS OF PROMISE
O loving God, we
have forgotten that we can bring joy to another. We are too often content to
live with things as they are. We see the results around us of people who never knew
love, who failed to find a welcome or a smile of acceptance, who have not felt
your healing power. O God, place us in
your presence that we may be instruments of your love, that
we might carry on your transforming and transfiguring ways. Open our eyes that
we might see the world in the light of the grace of Jesus, our Guide and
Savior. Amen.

GIFTS AND OURSELVES TO GOD
*DOXOLOGY Tune:
Old 100th
O God, may we who bear your name
by gentle love your grace proclaim,
Christ’s gift of peace on earth declare
and your anointing Spirit share. Amen.
*PRAYER OF
DEDICATION (In unison)
O God, these gifts
will enable our faith community to see others in a fresh light: to see
newcomers as friends in the making, to see the old-timers and discover fresh
gifts, new talents, to see children as those from whom we can learn, to see our
neighborhood through God’s just eyes, to see our world and know we can make a
difference. With a renewed vision there
are no limits to what may be achieved.
Thanks be to God! Amen.
