All:       Come home.

UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION AND WORDS OF PROMISE

O God - who has created the light of day that all might enjoy the beauty of creation and made your Son to be the Light of the world - forgive us for our lack of the vision of your hopes and desires for peace.  Open us with a sense of wonder about creation, about people, and about our experiences with you.  Help us to see beyond the superficial that drains our energy, beyond the darkness of human behavior that clouds our vision, and beyond the hurt of our own pain that prevents perspective.   Then, with the faith of the blind man, help us to affirm: "I know not how my sight was restored. I only know that where once I was blind, now I see!"  Amen.
