WELCOME AND PARISH NOTES                      CLIP BOARD MINISTRY

*CALL TO WORSHIP

People Singing:  Wade in the water, wade in the water, children,

Wade in the water, God’s a-gonna trouble the water.

Leader:     We are a people of the water!

People:     We worship a God whose love flows through water.

Leader:     Love, like a rain shower, awakens the sleeping seed within the soul and lures it to blossom.

People:     We worship a God whose love flows through water.

Leader:     Love, like new fallen snow, inspires the delight

of children, making snow angels.

People:     We worship a God whose love flows through water.

Leader:     Love, like a hot shower after a long day’s work,

cleanses us, reawakens us.

People:     We worship a God whose love flows through water.

Leader:     Love, like little drops, drips from fingertips to forehead.

Through baptism, the family of faith makes room for one

more.

Repeat Chorus.

Two-On-the-Town

Several members of the church have commented recently that they have Two-on-the-Town cards and would like to gather some people to share an evening together from time to time.  This is a group that would encompass couples and singles.

The new cards begin in January of 2005.  This group (or maybe even two groups) could do lunch and/or dinners depending on the needs of those who want to share this experience.  We will gather the interested people in a couple of weeks.

If you would be interested in being part of a group, please indicate below your name, phone and preferences.  Questions, please contact Judy Coffey at 775-5362,  speak to her directly or email her at jcoffeyumc"at"yahoo.com

            Book Club to Begin

Would you like to share in a Book Club??  One is being started in the near future.  The intent is to read the same book and then gather to have some discussion around it.  This is not meant to be a “study” but a time of discussion around a book of a spiritual nature.  We would meet every other month in order to give time for people to read the chosen book.  Monday evenings are the most open presently.  Interested?  Sign-up below. Contact Judy with additional questions at 775-5362.

We so appreciate your generous donations of food for funeral luncheons or other functions, however, we often find that there are many extra serving dishes and pans left in the church kitchen.  Please check in the kitchen for yours.  Thank you!

Interested in ringing??  Our Bell Choir, under the very capable leadership of director, Tonja Hinkston, is looking for another ringers or two.  Reading music is NOT essential.  Bell Choir practice is at 9:30 a.m. today in the choir room.   Come along and give it a try.
