PASTOR, TEACHERS AND PARENTS:

Receive the Word of God.  Learn its stories and study its words.  Its stories belong to us all and these words speak to us all.  They tell us who we are -- that we belong to one another for we are the people of God.

PASTOR:      Will you receive this Bible with thankfulness and promise to read and study the Bible together?

                     If so, please say, “Yes!”

CHILDREN:  “Yes!”

PEOPLE:      We rejoice in this step in your faith journey with God. We pray God will guide you, your family and us as you use this Holy Bible in your home, in your Church School classes and in our worship.  We will learn together & grow in our love for God’s Word.

PASTOR:      May every word from this Book spring forth in creative power, joy and might, illumining each face, soul and heart.  Amen.
