UNISON PRAYER
Know us, Jesus,
We are too
likely to build our houses on the sand.
Ground us in you way,
when
our worlds are rootless and our behavior shallow.
Claim us when other will not have
us.
Teach us
when we are closed to instruction.
Be our rock, Jesus.
Help us
build our houses on your solid instruction.
Know us, Jesus. Today and forever. Amen.

Our Loose Plate Offering for June 5 will go
to Afghanistan Emergency. Afghanistan
is a nation in crisis. Twenty-four years
of wars, ethnic conflict, repressive regimes, drought, famine and earthquakes
have all combined to force millions of people to seek refuge in neighboring
countries. UMCOR established an
office in the capital, Kabul, in May 2002 which seeks to implement relief and
development programs in Kabul and Parwan provinces. UMCOR is focused on housing
reconstruction, infrastructure rehabilitation and economic revitalization
assistance and looking to begin medical assistance programs. We will also be receiving non-perishable food
items and paper products next week.
Next Sunday,
June 5 we will be celebrating Graduation Sunday and honoring our
graduating High School Seniors at the 11:00 a.m. worship service. The Coffee Hour following will be in their
honor.
The Education Committee is always looking for
volunteers to help serve the children and youth in our church family. Please take a minute to look over the
bulletin insert page for a list of ways you can serve our children and youth. Place your completed page in the offering
plate and someone will contact you soon.
Thanks for helping!
