UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION

God of our sabbath times, from whose presence we can never hide and whose purposes are always beyond our understanding, we confess that we do not always use our sabbath time for renewal and rest.  Teach us, we pray, to use our sabbath times in ways that are pleasing to you and helpful to others.  May we be instruments of healing, not instigators of division.  Make us bearers of your life-giving good news.  Fill us with hope that we may share with the world, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Our Loose Plate Offering today will go the P.E.T. Project (personal energy transport.)  These simple machines supply personal mobility for persons affected by polio or land mines in developing countries.  These hand-cranked tricycles are made in several workshops in the U.S., including a facility started by Larry and Laura Hills in Penney Farms, FL.  It costs $250 to make & ship a PET.  Your contributions will help others be more mobile & productive.  Let’s send at least one/could we do two?

A Very Special Wesley Fellowship will be held Thursday, July 6.  Helen Vivian’s granddaughter, Megan, will tell of her Mission Trip to Cameroon, Africa.  A group called “Engineers Without Borders” from Hope College left on May 11 to dig water wells for needy people without electricity or running water.  Cadillac Fabrication made filter molds and donated them to use in their mission work.  Bring a dish to share and your own table service.  Everyone is welcome for the Potluck and Program which begins at 6:00 p.m.  Let’s support Wesley Fellowship!!
