UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Good Shepherd, we have wandered down the strange pathways of our world.  We have ventured into dead-end streets that looked more inviting that the narrow ways marked out by the signposts of your love.  We have trusted other voices and turned away from your truth.  We have accepted your gifts without acknowledgment.  We have failed to use our overflowing cups to fill the cups of others who need what we could offer.  Forgive us, we pray, and restore us to your fold.  Amen.

Today, you have an opportunity to offer a gift and/or commitment to the Building for a Bright Future of Growth, The Campaign Continues . . . Debt Reduction Offering.  To date, the following projects have been completed:  New Roof and Steeple, Window Replacement and Repair, Sanctuary Accordion Door, Lighted Church Sign, Fellowship Hall and Entryway Flooring.

The following projects are to be completed soon:  Church Landscaping, Outdoor Sprinkling System Update and Expansion, Parking Lot Sealing and Restriping & the Front Entryway Lighting

We are in need of $70,000 to completely pay off everything that is already done and to be done in the very near future.  Our actual costs are running about 5% over our estimates from a year ago for the projects.  Most of this increase is due to upgrades that Trustees felt were necessary and needed.

As you offer your gift and/or pledge for the coming months, let us remember that together we are “Building for a Bright Future of Growth.”

The non-perishable Food Products and Paper Products collected today will go to the OASIS Shelter.

Budget Helpers and Payee’s Urgently Needed.  We are looking for people who can help with basic budgeting and/or becoming a payee for Love, INC clients. .  Currently, there are 17 families in the program but more are waiting. Please contact the Love, INC office at 779-1888 for more information.

You will be trained by the Director of the program and your commitment will be only an hour or two a week assisting a person assigned to you.  You will meet at a time convenient for you at a church or library---not in your home or your client’s

The 5th Annual Curtis Rexford Memorial Golf Outing will be held on Tuesday, June 13  at the Eldorado.  The registration - with a free driving range and putting green -  will begin at 12 noon; the shot gun start happens at 1 p.m.  This outing is designed to raise funds to help kids in the tri-county area with the expense of attending Christ centered events. If you have a student (7-21 years) that would like to attend a Christian event/camp, mission trip but needs some financial assistance in order to do so, please call the Rexfords-775-8364 for info.
