Pastor Ostema will be offering Membership Sessions for those interested in joining this congregation through faithful membership.  The sessions begin TODAY and will meet on Sunday mornings, October 8, 15 & 22 between the worship services.  A reception date is tentatively planned for October 29.  Please contact Pastor Ostema through the church office 775-5362, if interested.

There will be a Survivor Weekend Challenge for Sr. High Youth held at the Ludington United Methodist Church (rain or shine) beginning Saturday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m. and ending Sunday, October 15 at 10:30 a.m.  Build your own shelter and sleep in the woods–if you are brave enough!  There will be mystery food contests and survivor games.  Cost is $15.00 if registered by October 6.  Contact Debbie Pant for more details and to register.

Hospitality needed:  Our church is hosting the West Michigan Chapter of the Fellowship for Worship, Music and the Other Arts on October 13 and 14.  They have asked if there are some people in our congregation who would open their homes on the night of October 13 for a person(s) to be housed overnight.  A bed, shower and some hospitality are all that is needed.  Please call (775-5362) or talk with Judy Coffey if you can help.  Thanks so very much!

Today is the kick-off day for the 3rd Annual Baby Bottle Boomerang Fund-raiser for Care Net (formerly the Pregnancy Resource Center).  As you exit the Sanctuary, we will be distributing baby bottles.  If you would like to participate, please take one per family.  We are asking that you take the bottles home, fill them with a check, cash or coins and return them to the Church between October 15 and October 29.  The baby bottle campaign is used to fund Care Net’s mission programs to families.

Children’s coats, gloves and mittens needed — The Coat Ministry at Temple Hill Baptist Church is in need of good, clean coats--infant thru teen sizes--and gloves and mittens to meet the many referrals from Love, INC.  Your donations can be dropped off at the church located at 1601 West Division daily between 10:00 am & 3:00 pm.
