THE GATHERING TO WORSHIP

PRELUDE

BRINGING IN THE LIGHT OF CHRIST

WELCOME AND PARISH NOTES

    *CALL TO WORSHIP

One: The vine emerges from the earth,

         Nourished and nourishing.

All:    Rises without visible connection;

         roots hidden, promise unknown.

One: Strong to withstand storms,

         fragile when plucked too soon.

All:    So it is that we grow¼

         nourished by invisible connections to the living God,

         called to nourish that which is seen and that which

         is yet buried within.

You nourish us with your love and grace every day. When we live in you, Your love flows out from us Into every relationship, Every word, Every thought, Every action. Help us to use your love as a guide for others, so that all will come to blossom in your creative and forgiving love. Help us also to live out your love At home, At work, At school, On the highway,

In our families, And with friends, Neighbors, And even strangers. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Who is our foundation and our peace. Amen.

Come & get your car/van/truck washed next Saturday, May 20, and take a look at our Plant Sale for our Youth Mission Trips.  We will have flats and containers of flowers available.  We will be here from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the church parking lot to serve you.  Cost of the Car Wash is your donation; thanks!
