A lover wants to be known to the
beloved. Jesus, Is that why you ask “Who do you say that I am?
”We want to know you well. Help us put on your mind. Help us follow
after you, do what you do, love the ones you love. Teach us to lose our lives
for your sake. And find them when we give them away. Amen.

*DOXOLOGY #94
Praise God, from whom all blessings
flow;
Praise God, all creatures here
below: Alleluia! Alleluia!
Praise God, the source of all our
gifts!
Praise Jesus Christ, whose power uplifts!
Praise the Spirit, Holy
Spirit! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
*PRAYER OF CONSECRATION (In Unison)
You challenge us to deny ourselves
in order to follow you, O Lord. We are
not accustomed to denying ourselves often.
The culture promotes instant gratification. Self-help experts profess self-care as the
key to contentment. Financial
consultants advise clients to pay themselves first. Yet you call us to give in return for life,
to deny ourselves and to follow you. Help
us in this moment to focus on you as we sacrificially give our tithes and
offerings. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
