THE GATHERING TO WORSHIP
PRELUDE
BRINGING IN THE LIGHT OF CHRIST
WELCOME AND PARISH NOTES
“BUILDING FOR A BRIGHT FUTURE OF GROWTH”
*CALL TO WORSHIP
One: Something deep inside us calls us,
All: Beckons us.
One: We are looking for truth
All: That anchors us in the midst of competing voices.
One: We are searching for life
All: That sparkles with joy and glows with warmth.
One: We are finding our way
All: To Christ, to community, to love.
One: And we are bold to sing
All: A resurrection song.

THE PEOPLE OF GOD PRAYING
If you have a prayer joy or concern
you would like shared during the Prayer of the People, please hand it to an
usher during the Prayer Song.
PRAYER SONG #2210
“Joy Comes in the Morning”
UNISON PRAYER
Each dawn proclaims resurrection
and tells of a new beginning as all creation sings for joy. From the start of time, Divine Creator, you
painted each day with light, fashioned beauty in your marvelous creation and
caused praise to whistle through trees.
When we took to hurrying through beauty, bruising each other and taking
blessings for granted, you sent Jesus to open our eyes to the new dawn and stir
our dreams to a new beginning. Easter is
our second chance, our try-once-more.
Each dawn is a resurrection gift from you, O God. It brings the
possibility to deepen relationships, to experience your miracle of life
and to share love. Every sunrise rolls
back the stone of doubt and lets the alleluia loose. Thank you, O God. Amen.

The Staff Parish
Relations Committee (SPRC) has regretfully accepted the resignation of the Coordinator of Children and Youth Ministries,
Debbie Ostema. Debbie has provided
leadership in children's ministry for 20 years and she is hoping to use her
gifts and talents in new and exciting ways in the future. Debbie will continue in her role through the
rest of the church school year. The SPRC
is working with the Education Committee to evaluate the staffing needs for
children and youth ministries in our church.
Please keep both committees in your prayers as they move forward through
this process.
