PRAYER HYMN Tune:
Adeste Fideles
“O
Come Let Us Adore Him”
O Come let us adore him, O come let
us adore Him
O Come let us adore Him, Christ the
Lord.
We’ll praise His name forever, We’ll praise His name forever,
We’ll praise His name forever,
Christ the Lord.
We’ll give Him all the glory, We’ll give Him all the glory,
We’ll give Him all the glory,
Christ the Lord.
UNISON PRAYER
Gracious and loving God, we pause
to sing glory with the angels to the new born King, ever marveling at the
greatness of your love for us. We praise
you for your great gift of love - Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord - who
brings to birth in us love for you, O God, and love for one another. On this last day of this year, as we look to
a new and unknown future, we know we can embrace the unknown with confidence
because you have blessed our lives with your presence in Jesus Christ and have
empowered us with your Spirit to face whatever the future holds. For these
blessings we offer our praise and thanksgiving in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Hope in the God who reigns above,

*PRAYER OF CONSECRATION (in unison)
Instead of gold and frankincense
and myrrh, we bring to you, O God, the treasures you have first given to us -
our hearts, minds and bodies, to be used in your service. We offer these gifts - of money and our lives
- as signs of our total giving, praying that they will be used to herald the
coming of your kingdom. In Jesus’ name
we pray. Amen.

The Flowers on the Lord’s Table today are given
in memory of Nelson Himes by Margaret Himes.
Today we will be celebrating the First Sunday of
Christmas and the Coming of the Wise Men.
During both Coffee Hours, we will have an Epiphany Festival. Prizes will be given to those who find the
Baby in the King’s Cake.
Thank you so much to everyone who provided one of
the 108 poinsettias for the Chancel area on Christmas Eve - it was just
lovely. We invite you to take your plant
home this morning following worship.
Protective sleeves are available to guard the plant from the cold
weather.
