UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Holy God, Creation's Artist: tiny infants babble your praises, as you reach out and heal us with the touch of your fingertips. We worship you. Jesus Christ, Gateway to grace: you make right what we have messed up; you build your kingdom on the foundation of our faltering faith; you stand with us in the midst of our suffering. We adore you. Holy Spirit, Playmate of justice: you splash through the sea-puddles in Eden's backyard, tracking the mud into Kingdom's kitchen, leading us to the Table. We open our hearts to you.  Amen

The American Cancer Society will be hosting the Relay for Life fund-raiser at the Memorial Stadium in Cadillac on June 22 & 23. If you are a cancer survivor, you are invited to walk in the Special Survivor Laps and to attend the Survivor Receptions on both days. Detailed registration forms are on the table in the Fellowship Hall. Call Barb Tatarchuk (survivorship chairperson) for additional info or to have a form sent to you.  You may also order luminaries for $10 each if you would like to honor someone who has battled cancer in the past or someone who is presently involved in the struggle.  They are placed around the track during the 24 hour event to remind us of loved ones who have had cancer and to offer hope for the future.

Love INC is busy.  During this past week temporary shelter was located for a family whose home was condemned, a ride to a doctor’s appointment was given, a Dad’s vehicle was repaired so he could take his son to weekly appointments in grand Rapids for treatments on his inoperable tumor.  These are just a few of the needs which were met.  Your prayers for our work are always appreciated.
