UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Loving God, forgive us for all that spoils our lives.  Forgive us because though we have seen a vision of your holiness, we have easily put it at the back of our minds.  Forgive us for failing to follow the example of so many worthy saints who have gone before us. We tend to put them high on a shelf and forget to follow their lead. Forgive us, too, our complacency, our lack of obedience to your call, and thus assure us of our forgiveness in Christ.  Amen.

PRAYER OF REMEMBRANCE   (in unison)

O God, the generations rise and pass away before you.  You are the strength of those who labor; you are the rest of the blessed dead. We rejoice in the company of your saints.  We remember all who have lived in faith, all who have peacefully died, and especially those most dear to us who rest in you now.  Give us in time our portion with those who have trusted in you and have striven to do your holy will. To your name, with the Church on earth and the Church in heaven, we ascribe all honor and glory, now and forever.  Amen.
