The Linen Ministry at First Christian Church of Cadillac is need of towels, washcloths, pillows and all size mattress pads. If you have any of these items in good condition that you would like to donate you may drop them off at the church or call 775-4371.

Covenant Life Church, 7700 W. Blue Road, Lake City is implementing a Bike Ministry to meet the need of workers who do not have transportation to get to their job. (Love INC has identified this need as the result of high gas prices & cost of vehicle repairs). Your good working condition adult bikes and/or bike helmets are needed. Please call the church at 839-2244 for drop-off times.

The United Methodist Men are planning a night for all baseball lovers to enjoy at the “old” ball park in Traverse City on Saturday, August 4 with a 7:05 p.m. start. This will be a good time to gather family and friends for this special event. See Don Rennie, Ron Truax or Dave Fuller for reservations and all the details.

Usher/Greeter Training will be held on Sunday, July 15 between services (approximately 9:30 a.m.) Please come if you are willing and interested in ushering or if you need a “refresher” course. We will be looking for you. Training will also be given to the youth at their youth meeting on July 15. Questions or more information see or call Dee Brinks.

Lift Off! Soaring to New Heights with GodWe are looking for volunteers to help us out during Vacation Bible School (July 23-July 26.) We are also looking for an old parachute or anything related to the theme of hot air balloons that we can incorporate into the decorating scheme. Contact Clara Handy or Tonja Hinkston if you are interested in helping out or have items to donate.

Need someone to help with your Yard Work? Tyler DeCoeur and his friend are looking for some yard work jobs for the summer. You can give Tyler a call.

Tyler is not only available for doing yards - he has been busy organizing a community youth event Rock & Roll 2007 for July 13 and 14. Music at the Rotary Pavilion Friday night beginning at 5:00 p.m., Skate Board competition on Saturday, Art Show & music again on Saturday night at the Pavilion. Be there!!

Individual and group family camping at Lake Michigan at Pentwater with 160 wooded acres and ½ mile of sandy Lake Michigan beach. Prime vacancies: July 15 – 21 and Mid August into September. Use our platform tents or bring your RV, 5th Wheel, Pop-up or tent. All family campers have access to Volleyball (Beach & Grounds), Baseball, Kickball, Tetherball, Basketball, Soccer Field, Life Size Chess Set, Playground, Lake Michigan Swimming and Beach, Campfires & Singing, Bike/Nature Trails, Trolley Rides, Frisbee Golf, restrooms with showers, walk-in refrigeration, platform tent sites, Camper/RV sites with electric and some with water, and Tent sites. Jacob Farmer and Jay Duncan will be attending Summer Church Camp at Lake Michigan U.M. Camp from July 8 - July 14. Please keep them and the camp staff in your prayers this coming week.

Effective immediately, the Wednesday evening prayer group will not be meeting during the summer months.

On Thursday, July 19, the Susannah Wesley Circle will meet at Bob Evans for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Please call Jean Stump for reservations. We also plan to work out our “Christmas in July” gifts if that is possible. Our August meeting will be a visit to Waive McDonald’s home in Frankfort.
