UNISON PRAYER

Christ, we kneel with her to wash your feet.  We see your love; we feel it in our insides.  More than mother, father, friend or lover, you know at once all the parts of us: the lights and the darks of us.  Because of it all, or in spite of it all, you love us.  Please let us weep with this lovely woman, cleanse your feet with tears, dry them with our hair, kiss them; break the alabaster flask, and spread love over yourself.  Amen.

The American Cancer Society will be hosting the Relay for Life fund-raiser at the Memorial Stadium in Cadillac on June 22 & 23. If you are a cancer survivor, you are invited to walk in the Special Survivor Laps and to attend the Survivor Receptions on both days. Detailed registration forms are on the table in the Fellowship Hall. Call Barb Tatarchuk (survivorship chairperson) for additional info or to have a form sent to you.  You may also order luminaries for $10 each if you would like to honor someone who has battled cancer in the past or someone who is presently involved in the struggle.  They are placed around the track during the 24 hour event to remind us of loved ones who have had cancer and to offer hope for the future.

We are grateful to our Chancel Choir for their Ministry of Music in our midst this singing season which has been extended through June 17.  Each Wednesday evening they practice, on Sunday mornings they rehearse and then offer their music in worship.  Give some thought to joining them in the Fall as they begin their new musical season.  In addition, we are thankful to our Bell Choir.  They gather each Sunday morning at 9:30 to practice and offer their bell music monthly.  Both choirs are deeply appreciated as they offer their Ministry of Music in the worship of God.

Attention Campers!  If you have a child attending Summer Church Camp that needs a ride or if you are interested in car pooling, please contact Marian Fuller.

Attention All Gardeners!!  It’s time to sign up to take care of the Peace Garden this summer.  If you can spare one or two hours some week this June, July or August, see Mary Buehler after the early service or call her.  Thanks!!
