UNISON PRAYER

You meet us, O God, at every place along the highway of life.

You meet us at life’s beginning - smiling, gurgling, and vulnerable and as children, growing and exploring, yet laughing and teasing as we go.

You meet us as young adults, finding our feet, maturing and searching for values, as parents, with all the responsibility, joy and frustration that comes with parenthood and in the autumn of our days, with wisdom, yet with increasing infirmity.

You meet us, O Loving God, at every stage in life, for you are a trusted and sustaining presence.   Yet we know you remain always ahead of us – the source of hope and the essence of eternity.  Amen.

My heartfelt gratitude is extended to every single person who worked to help make the bazaar a success again this year. It is an amazing thing to see how this body of Christ pulls together to make an event like this happen. What a blessing to be a part of people like yourselves. Thank you, everyone, for your hard, dedicated work to support missions.  As of Tuesday, November 6, total receipts from the Holiday Bazaar are $7,261.49.  We will keep you updated as the final sales are made and the expenses are totaled.

God bless you all. Sally Bassett, Chair of the Bazaar

Get to know Pastor Tom and Kelly, on a more personal level by attending a fun, informal social time at one of our member’s homes. A few dates and times are still open.  Sign-up on the board outside the Parish Assistant’s office today!

Our church has been asked to help with cookie for the December American Red Cross Blood Drive.  We will need to provide 30 to 40 dozen cookies with no peanut products.  Please indicate below if you are able to help and the amount.  If 10 of us make 4 dozen, we would have it done.  Thanks!!

The Prayer Quilt for those serving in the military is in the church Narthex this morning.  On it already are the names of those who we are remembering in prayer who are currently serving our nation.  On this Veteran’s Day, we would like to remember our veterans who have served in the military as well.  You are invited to take a card and place on it your name, area of service and time when you served our county so that we might remember with gratitude your service in the cause of freedom and peace.

November is Blessing Bag time for the Salvation Army.  They are available in the church fellowship hall.  On the bag is a list of supplies to provide a family with a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.  Simply fill the bag with the requested items and return the filled bag to the youth room by Sunday, November 18.  Feel blessed knowing you are sharing the blessing.

Sign-up to help gift wrap at Project Christmas which will be held on Saturday, December 8 from 9:00 - 5:00 at the WEX.
