Men are planning a night for all baseball lovers to enjoy at the “old” ball
park in A Mid-Summer Update: This has been an
unusual year in the life of our congregation. Some very good things have been
happening. We have 27 children and
youth attending Church Camp this summer - up from 14 in 2006. Also, we have had a pastoral change and
with that change some unexpected and unbudgeted expenses including
first-class postage for the letters which announced the pastoral changes, the
Farewell Brunch for the Ostema Family, parsonage
refreshing (painting, minor repairs, carpet cleaning), painting the Pastor’s
Study and some new items for the office.
Hence, we are about $9000 behind in expenses verses income. Your extra effort in giving over the next
few weeks would be deeply appreciated so that we can begin the fall program
season in the black. Thanks ever so much for your faithfulness & your
help!! Robert Reincke, grandson of Nina Katschalin
(100 year old member of our church) and author of “Death of a Past Life” will
be speaking at the Cadillac Library on Wednesday, July 18 at 7:00 p.m.
regarding this book. All are
invited to attend. V.B.S. Lift Off! Soaring

at Coming Up: on July 22 Marty Modene and Arlo Peterson will
be offering their Ministry of Music at both worship services. Then, on July 29 Sarah Dodge Schieber will be sharing her music with us. Sarah will be
presenting a concert on Friday, August 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the Community
Auditorium to benefit Love In the Name of Christ. Tickets for the concert are available here
at the church for $8 for adults and those 12 and under only $5. |
