BRINGING IN THE
LIGHT OF CHRIST
WELCOME AND PARISH
NOTES
A CAMPING MOMENT
*GATHERING WORDS
One: All creation sings a song of praise.
Morning glories ‑
All: Birds chirp their praise;
One: Trees lift their limbs in adoration,
All: Stretching as a prayer to heaven;
One: Birds of paradise stick out their necks in
radiant splendor;
All: All creation sings praise.
One: The hills echo your love,
All: The ocean is a wave
of constant praise,
One: The sky extends in blue wonder.
All: Everywhere you look
One: With eyes open to see,
All: There are morning glories
One: Stirring us to praise.

PRAYER HYMN #144
“This
is My Father’s World”
UNISON PRAYER
There is a beauty all around us, O
God. The earth under our feet is holy
ground. The air we breathe restores us
to life. The movement of the lake
eternally washes the shore.
Holy God, turn us to seeing our connection
with the earth and all living things.
Open our eyes to the beauty of creation and of our coexistence on this
green‑blue planet. Set us, with
unhurried time and listening ears, so we may hear its good tidings. Cause us to sit with our backs against a tree
and feel the support of Earth's towering strength. Stop us long enough to feel the wind, to
watch a robin nest, to smell the spring air. Strengthen us to stand up to enjoy
your creation and to walk gently upon the earth, we pray. Amen.
