for V.B.S. TODAY, July 22, at 3:00 p.m. LIFT OFF! Soaring to The School Supply Pantry
will open its doors in early August.
Last year, our church provided school supplies for over 150 children
(and even a few adults) in our county.
That number was a significant increase over the previous year. Although we have already seem
to have a good supply of some of the necessary items, I know how quickly our
shelves become empty once we get started.
If you would like to help with this worthwhile ministry, you can place
your donations in the box near the entrance to the sanctuary. We provide mostly new items, although
books, dictionaries, and working calculators can be used as long as they are
current. Monetary donations are also welcomed
at any time. We are especially in need of the
following: Backpacks (new), 3-Ring
Binders, Colored Markers, Pencil Sharpeners (small size), Rulers, Drawing
Paper, Construction Paper, Pocket Folders (We are very short on these),
Pencil boxes or Pouches, Primary Pads of Paper (K-2), Dictionaries,
Scientific Calculators, (Trigonometry Functions, etc.), Novels or Non-Fiction
Books for Ages 3-17 (These can be used, but the titles should be fairly
current.) Call Barb Tatarchuk if you have any questions or if you would like
to help. A reminder that the Prayer Quilt for those serving in the
military is available in the Fellowship Hall for you to place on it a card
with the name, area of service and location of those serving our nation so
that our congregation might pray for them especially during these days of
increased and extended deployment of our troops. Today’s Worship Ministry . . . Liturgists: 8:30 - Judy Coffey 10:00 - Jane Wightman Organist/Pianist: Virginia Pulford 8:30 Greeters/Ushers: Pat & Donna
