Come, my beloved, my chosen; come home to me.

Many:   Let us respond to the invitation with joy and laughter.

One:    Let us bring our dreams and hopes, our jars

of ointment, our longings, our desires and our love.

Many:   Let us be open to the indwelling of God,

            who makes all things new.

All:       We come, O God; we come.

PRAYER ANTHEM                                 Chancel Choir and Congregation

“Taste and See”   Arr. James E. Moore, Jr.

UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION AND WORDS OF PROMISE

O God, whose upward call in Christ Jesus we have so often chose to ignore, we confess that we settle for lesser goals while you summon us to embrace the realm of heaven.  We seldom look beyond our own interests to the well-being of our sisters and brothers.  We can see the wasteful acts of other people but not our own selfish habits.  We exaggerate the contributions we make but ignore the sacrifice of others.  We need your forgiveness, O God.  Do a new thing within and among us.  Amen.

The Flowers on the Lord’s Table today are given in honor and celebration of the birthdays of our mother, daughter and three grandchildren by Jim and Laura Hodges.

The Community Lenten Breakfasts, sponsored by the Cadillac Area Ministerial Association, continue on March 28 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Paul Tomlinson as our host.  Our own Pastor Dale will be the speaker. The time together will include breakfast, singing & a meditation.  A freewill offering will be taken for the breakfast.  All are invited to attend.  Invite a friend to come with you.

Even if you were unable able to attend the study on previous Sundays, you are invited to come and join in the last Lenten Bible Study this evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  Tonight, the Membership & Evangelism Committees  are hosting the Soup and Bread Supper.  Following supper, we will have a time of singing, view the video, Don’t Forget Us and then have some table discussion.  This has been an exceptional series; come on along!
