WORDS One: People of
God, we are together to worship and pray. Many: We do not
know how to pray. One: Jesus
Christ, our Lord and Savior, has taught us how to pray. Many: But we do
not know how to pray as we ought to pray. One: The Holy
Spirit engages with our spirit to pray as we ought. Many: But how can
we have the Holy Spirit? One: Our Loving
God gives the Holy Spirit to all who ask. Many: Then, in the
power of the Holy Spirit, we will worship and pray. All: Thanks be to God! *HYMN OF PRAISE #277 “Tell Me the Stories of Jesus” *SHARING THE

Twice UNISON PRAYER Eternal God, creator of all things, teach us to know the
power of silence and of prayer. Fill
our emptiness with your peace and your love and fill our darkness with your
light. Fulfill in us the potentials
for which we were born and were called into your church, for we pray in the name of Christ Jesus, who sought your
presence even in the rush of life.
Amen. PRAYER OF THE PEOPLE THE

early August. Last year, our church
provided school supplies for over 150 children (and even a few adults) in our
county. That number was a significant
increase over the previous year.
Although we have already seem to have a good
supply of some of the necessary items, I know how quickly our shelves become
empty once we get started. If you
would like to help with this worthwhile ministry, you can place your
donations in the box near the entrance to the sanctuary. We provide mostly new items, although
books, dictionaries, and working calculators can be used as long as they are
current. Monetary donations are also
welcomed at any time. We are especially in need of the following: Backpacks (new), 3-Ring Binders, Colored
Markers, Pencil Sharpeners (small size), Rulers, Drawing Paper, Construction
Paper, Pocket Folders (We are very short on these), Pencil boxes or Pouches,
Primary Pads of Paper (K-2), Dictionaries, Scientific Calculators,
(Trigonometry Functions, etc.), Novels or Non-Fiction Books for Ages 3-17
(These can be used, but the titles should be fairly current.) Call Barb Tatarchuk
if you have any questions or if you would like to help. A reminder that the Prayer Quilt for those serving in the
military is available in the Fellowship Hall for you to place on it a card
with the name, area of service and location of those serving our nation so
that our congregation might pray for them especially during these days of
increased and extended deployment of our troops. Need someone to help with your Yard Work? Tyler DeCoeur and his friend
