Due to the resignation of our Church Office Manager, Patty Anderson, the Staff-Parish Relations Committee is seeking to fill the position of Church Office Manager – a 30 hour a week position at $10 per hour.  General qualifications include secretarial or office management course work and experience.  Computer literacy and confidentiality a must.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills & a gracious demeanor.  The full job description is available through the Church Office.  Questions, speak with or call Bonnie Campbell SPRC Chair or Pastor Tom at 775-5362.  Cover letters & resumes will be received through October 3, 2007.

Does someone have a birthday coming up?  How about getting a jump-start on Christmas?  The youth are currently having a fund-raiser and taking orders for some of the most creative and fun items bearing unique Christian logos.  Available items include tee-shirts, ball caps, tote bags, lunch sacks, blankets and wall hangings.  All items are $15 with the proceeds going to the JD’s and Sr. High YOUth summer mission trips.  We will be taking orders through October 14 and all items will be here in plenty of time for the holidays.  Check out our display in the Fellowship Hall following each service or you can see any JD or Sr. High YOUth.

Grand Traverse District 2007 “Main Event” is scheduled for Saturday, October 13 with Dr. H. Eddie Fox.  Registration forms located on the table in the church narthex.

We SO appreciate your willingness to help with food for funerals. However, we now have a quantity of bowls, pans, platters, etc. that need to find their way home.  Please stop in the kitchen after services today to pick up your serving container & take it with you. Any items left at the time of the Bazaar will be sold at the Bazaar.

The “Jewelry Boutique” for the Holiday Bazaar is looking for your donations of used jewelry.  Please drop them off in the donation box located on the table in the Fellowship Hall.  Because we need time for the jewelry to be cleaned and carded for the Boutique, your donations are needed as soon as possible.  Thank you so much!

The rose on the Lord’s Table celebrates the birth of Ian Tyler, son of Paul and Sarah Bihlmeyer.  Ian was born September 23; he weighed 6 lbs, 12 oz and was 20¾” long.  His proud grandparents and aunt are Tom and Deb Bihlmeyer and Sarah.  Many Blessings!

STILL NEEDED: The Education Committee needs some additional team teachers for our Church School.  Angie Ferris - Junior High teacher and Don Lakin - 5th & 6th Grade teacher both need someone to work with them as they help our young people to learn about God.  Please give this some prayerful thought and contact Shelley DeCoeur or Lisa Weaver.

We still need some Secret Saints; see Deborah Janway.
