PRAYER SONG..................................................................................................#2244 “People Need the Lord” Sing Twice
UNISON PRAYER Lord God, please hear the cry of ones in great need. Hear the cry of the children who have no food to eat. Please Lord, hear the cry of the homeless who have no place to call home, the women who know only abuse and violence, the men who believe they have no hope, the ones who live in the shadows of fear. Lord God, hear the cry of those living in the midst of warfare, living without a neighborhood for support and safety, those who experience hatred because of their skin color and those who have less of a future because of their gender. Lord God, hear their cry— hear our cry. Amen.
PRAYER
OF THE PEOPLE THE LORD’S PRAYER..........................................................................................#895 Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
